Welcome for the freshmen at FEEIT

Објавено: October 1, 2024

With great pleasure, we marked the beginning of the academic year for the freshmen at FEEIT. After the first academic class held at the plateau of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, we welcomed the new students into the premises of FEEIT.

On behalf of the FEIT teaching staff, the Vice Dean for Education, Prof. Marija Kalendar, welcomed the new generation of students who are embarking on their academic journey in the 65th jubilee year of FEEIT’s founding. In her address, she emphasized: “As you will soon realize, the student years are one of the most interesting periods in life. You will need to organize your time independently, regularly follow lectures, and diligently complete your tasks. From the very beginning, be aware of the hard work ahead of you. But only through this will you achieve your goal – to become an engineer in today’s era of exciting technological challenges, for which FEEIT will prepare you.”

The Dean of FEIT, Prof. Vladimir Atanasovski, addressed the new students with a message to courageously embrace the new life challenge by becoming part of the ever-changing world of technology. “As you navigate the challenges of your studies, you will encounter moments of doubt, perhaps even difficulties, but remember that every obstacle is an opportunity for progress. In the world of technology, there is no room for stagnation – there will always be something new to learn and explore. You will be part of that progress. Take advantage of all the resources our faculty offers – laboratories, libraries, discussions with professors, and your peers. This community is here to support you, and the success of each one of you is a success for all of us. I encourage you to be innovative and not be afraid to follow your own path, as you will be the ones driving society forward into the future. Don’t fear interdisciplinarity; instead, embrace it wholeheartedly,” emphasized the Dean of FEIT.

At the first academic class, scholarships from FEIT were awarded to three students who had won prizes in national and international competitions. Additionally, the engineering association MAKO CIGRE awarded scholarships to three students enrolled in the electrical power engineering programs with the highest points from secondary education.

We wish a successful academic year to the students and teaching staff of FEIT.
