Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introduction in nondestructive testing (NDT) – properties and materials characterization, properties modification under external conditions. Classification of NDT methods and techniques. Optical techniques – optical microscopy, interferometric methods. Spectroscopic technics – dielectric relaxation spectroscopy (DRS), impedance spectroscopy (IS) and UV-vis spectroscopy. Elipsometry. Dye / liquid penetrate inspection. Ultrasonic and acoustic techniques. Thermoluminescence and photoluminescence techniques. Radiografic techniques. NDT for Quality Control and Quality Safety. Application of NDT techniques in engineering, medicine, forensics, etc.
