Workshop “Technology for You”

Event date: 14.04.2025

On April 14 and 15, 2025, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies will host the two-day event “Technology for You”, which is a unique platform for practical education, networking and encouraging innovations in the field of embedded microcomputer systems. The main organizers of the event are FEIT FABLAB and Logging Electronics, with the activities in FEIT FABLAB being carried out by the Institute of Electronics, the Institute of Telecommunications, the Institute of Automation and Systems Engineering and the Institute of Computer Technologies and Engineering at FEIT.

Several parallel activities aimed at different target groups are being implemented within the framework of the event. Students from secondary vocational schools have the opportunity to participate in educational sessions and a competition on the topic of embedded microcomputer systems, while teachers from the same schools follow professional training prepared and implemented by professors from FEIT. These trainings are part of the activities of the European Digital Innovation Hub INOFEIT EDIH, with a focus on the digital transformation of education and the public sector.

The program also includes a specialized practical-demonstration workshop on the topic “Development Microprocessor Systems”, which is being held for the sixth time, with the participation of students, professors and school principals. The workshop is organized in cooperation with leading manufacturers of development platforms such as Mikroelektronika, Arduino and Raspberry, and a special guest at the event is the company Mikroelektronika, which will present the latest solutions in the field of microprocessor systems, including the remote programming and control system – Planet Debug.

During the second day, students present their projects, and the best ones are awarded with diplomas, valuable prizes from Loging Electronics and scholarships from the institutes at FEIT. The “Technology for You” workshop is an excellent example of synergy between academia, industry and educational institutions, aimed at creating generations of young technicians and engineers prepared for the challenges of the modern digital society.
