Dr. Zoran Hadzi-Velkov, full professor of FEEIT and corresponding member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, has been appointed Editor of the journal IEEE Transactions on Communications. This is a flagship journal of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which dates back to the journal Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers founded in 1884. Some of the most important scientific breakthroughs in telecommunications and information-communication technologies have so far been published in this journal. Its current impact factor is 8.3. We congratulate professor Hadzi-Velkov for this appointment as a recognition of his scientific achievements so far, and we wish him successful editorial work.
