Course Goals (acquired competencies): To acquire knowledge, skills and competences on state of the art of sustainable energy and energy efficiency.
Course Syllabus: The World Energy Scene – History. World energy consumption. Finite resources . The Environmental Impact of Energy Use – The problem. Regulation and energy policy – The Kyoto protocol, program 20-20-20, National Strategy for energy efficiency and sustainable development. Sustainable development – Greenhouse effects mitigation, Features of Renewable Generation, Energy efficiency. Energy efficiency and electrical energy.
