On September 30, 2026, Prof. Dr. Mirko Todorovski, newly elected Corresponding Member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), delivered his inaugural lecture entitled “Power Systems in the Era of Energy Transition – Expected Challenges.”

During the lecture, Prof. Todorovski addressed the challenges associated with the energy transition, particularly the large-scale integration of renewable energy generation into power systems. He presented some of his research findings and solutions for addressing these challenges, including implementation of battery systems. He also discussed the current situation and challenges facing the Macedonian power system.

Prof. Todorovski was elected a Corresponding Member of MANU in November 2025, receiving the support of his colleagues from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT). We congratulate Prof. Todorovski on his outstanding lecture and wish him continued success in his scientific and research career, now also as a member of the Department of Technical Sciences at MANU.
