The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, through the GOTOTWIN project, actively participated in the 2nd Multi-Programme Projects’ Dialogue on Energy, held on 7 October 2026 in Alexandria, Egypt. The event brought together representatives of several European territorial cooperation programmes, research institutions, and organisations from across the Mediterranean region. Under the theme “From Dialogue to Joint Action: Projects and Policies for a Resilient Mediterranean,” FEEIT was represented by Prof. Dr. Zivko Kokolanski, GOTOTWIN Project Manager, who presented the activities and achievements of the project, funded through the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme. During his presentation, Prof. Kokolanski highlighted the capabilities of the GOTOTWIN Digital Twin Platform, with particular emphasis on its applications in the energy sector and its potential to support the advancement of renewable energy sources. Special attention was given to the GOTOTWIN Open Call for Experimentation, which provides interested organisations and companies with opportunities to explore and test the benefits of digital twin technologies in real-world environments.

FEEIT’s participation also contributed to strengthening the visibility of the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme within the broader community of European cooperation programmes through the exchange of experiences, best practices, and innovative solutions. The event provided a valuable opportunity to establish new partnerships and connect research and innovation capacities from the Adriatic-Ionian region with the wider Mediterranean community. Through this participation, FEEIT reaffirmed its active role in international research and innovation initiatives, contributing to the development and transfer of advanced digital technologies while strengthening European cooperation in the fields of energy and sustainable development.
