Course Goals (acquired competencies): To adopt the basic concepts of the theory of dynamical systems. The student to be able to recognize, model and solve problems from the application of dynamical systems in electrical engineering.
Course Syllabus: Classification of Dynamical Systems. Autonomous Dynamic Systems. Discrete and continuous dynamical systems. Stationary state and boundary sets. Periodic and quasi-periodic solutions. Nonlinear system and phase diagrams. Lyapunov functions. Stability and spectra of Lyapunov. Linear and nonlinear discrete dynamic systems. Bifurcations. Chaos.
