Code: 3ФЕИТ08006
ECTS points: 6 ЕКТС
Number of classes per week: 3+0+0+3
Lecturers: Prof. Dr. Katerina Hadji – Velkova Saneva, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sanja Atanasova
Course Goals (acquired competencies): After completing the course, the student will gain advanced mathematical knowledge of different integral transforms, their properties and inverse formulas. The student will be able to apply appropriate integral transformation as a mathematical tool for solving various problems in applied mathematics and engineering.
Course Syllabus: Importance of the integral transforms for engineering. Basic concepts and definitions. Transforms and their properties: Fourier transform, Laplace transform, z-transform, short-time Fourier transform, wavelet transform, Stockwell transform. Asymptotic properties of integral transforms. Application of integral transforms in solving differential and integral equations, theory of series, integral calculus, mathematical statistics and electrical engineering.
