Course Goals (acquired competencies): Knowledge on the technical and technological aspects of the measurement and control systems. Competence in design, implementation and maintenance of the process measurement and control systems.
Course Syllabus: Basic elements of measurement and control systems. Measurement sensors: passive senses, smart senses, micro-electromechanical sensors. Signal conditioning circuits. Analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. Actuators, regulators and motors. Programmable logic controllers. Process measurement and management. Defining requirements and designing measurement systems. Study examples of measurement systems.
