The association for research and promotion of energy efficiency and sustainable development, SCEESD – Skopje, is pleased to inform you that the call for papers for the 11th edition of SCEESD has been opened and invites you to be part of the celebration of the beginning of the second decade of their successful and dynamic activity. Over the past years, SCEESD has grown into a reknown student conference with international participation, and an international scientific board, recognized by the local community and the business sector, active in the field of youth organizations and an equal member of international youth networks.
The beginning of the new decade of SCEESD is aligned with the beginning of the period of greater global challenges and ambitions towards achieving the goals of the Green Deal, which are also the goals that the conference has been nurturing for years – raising awareness of the necessity for energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources and promoting the measures and mechanisms for sustainable development. Motivated by this necessity, students are encouraged to work on finding scientifically supported solutions to problems in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable development, and to present their student work in one of the following scientific areas:
- Renewable energy sources
- Energy efficiency, automation and measurements
- Electric vehicles and energy-efficient transport
- Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, new technologies and materials
- Energy efficiency in buildings, construction and architecture
The presentation of the papers and the discussion on their contribution, invests in further development of ideas for utilizing the potential of these areas.
One of the key aspects of the conference is the opportunity for collaboration between students, renowned professors, and representatives of leading companies from the relevant fields. Apart from the exchange of experiences and expansion of knowledge, contacts useful for future cooperation and professional development are also made. SCEESD enables knowledge about renewable energy sources and energy efficiency to be brought closer to the general public, thus increasing their implementation, general interest, and awareness of the importance of this issue.
Student conference on energy efficiency and sustainable development SCEESD 2023 will be held from 4.12.2023 to 6.12.2023, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.
