10.  Course Goals (acquired competencies):  Obtaining the professional knowledge and designing of the technical project documentation for power system components and selection of electrotechnical equipment.
11.    Course Syllabus: Introduction in design process. Designing of the technical documentation.  Principles and design methods. Standardization. Project documentation stadiums. Project assignment. The contents of the project documentation. The scope and specifications of the project activities.  Documentation for quality assurance. Project timeline. Project Costs. Technical solutions and calculations. Drawings. Power and auxiliary systems in power engineering. Design of the thermal power plants. Design of hydro power plants. Design examples of the pump-storage power plants. Design examples of nuclear power plants. Designing of the power plants powered by renewable energy. Designing of high, middle and low  voltage  substations. Designing of the metering, monitoring, control and protection systems. Designing of AC/DC switchboards and facilities. Design of the electrical lightning, small power installations, earthing and lightning protection.
12.    Learning methods:  Lectures, exercises, designing of technical documentation for real projects in power engineering, professional lectures from practice and workout of the project tasks and project solutions.

20.  Forms of assessment The final grade will be determined based on two written and oral exam. Two partial written exams (lasting 120 minutes) can be provided during the semester or one written exam in the planned exam sessions(duration 120 minutes). For students who have passed the partial exams / written exam, a final oral exam can be provided.
During the exam it is not allowed to use books, scripts, manuscripts or notes of any kind, mobile phone, tablet or any other electronic device
