10.    Course Goals (acquired competencies):  Understands technical specifications and component selection principles. Designs for testing and debugging. Knows basics of electromagnetic compatibility. Applies CAD tools for simulation and PCB design. Generats production documentation. Performs assembling and testing.

11.    Course Syllabus: Introduction: from idea to realization. Specifications analysis. Physical components selection (Internet and local suppliers search). CAD working environment and libraries setup. Entering electronic schematics. Links between symbols and physical components. Engineering rules control of the schematic, simulation. Introduction to PCB production. PCB component placement. Automatic and manual wire routing. EMC issues. Generating production documentation. Component physical placement and soldering. Final testing.

19.    Conditions for acquiring teacher’s signature and for taking final exam Completed laboratory excersises / project assignment
20.  Forms of assessment During the semester, two written partial exams are planned (at the middle and at the end of the semester, lasting 120 minutes). If the student does not pass the partial exams, they can take a written exam in each exam session (duration 120 minutes). The student’s activity is scored during the teaching. The student should prepare a project assignment and submit it no later than the end of the session following the end of the course semester. The final grade includes the points from the partial exams or the exam, student activity and the project task.
It is not allowed to use books, scripts, manuscripts or notes of any kind during the exam, as well as a calculator, mobile phone, tablet or any other electronic device
