10.    Course Goals (acquired competencies):  To understand and to adequately describe the environmental impact of energy use and to propose measures and solutions for sustainable development.

11.    Course Syllabus: Elements of sustainable development – environment, society and economy. Energy sources. The environmental impact of energy use. Environmental, climate and energy policy. Mitigation measures. Energy efficiency and cleaner production. Towards a sustainable electricity supply system.

12.    Learning methods:  Lectures and presentations. Team work. Case study and best practices analysis.

19.    Conditions for acquiring teacher’s signature and for taking final exam attendance of classes and fulfilled activities 15.2, 16.1, 16.2.
20.    Forms of assessment Continuous assessment. During the semester the student can take two partial written exams (duration of 60 minutes each) or a final written exam on the whole teaching material (duration 2 hours). The student should prepare and present seminar work. The final grade is based on all student activities during the course including the seminar work. It is not allowed to use books, scripts, manuscripts or notes of any kind, mobile phone, tablet or any other electronic device during the exam.
