  9.    Course Prerequisites  

10.    Course Goals (acquired competencies):  Introduction to M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communications. Concepts of industrial communication systems and application of machine-machine communication to industrial scenarios. Utilization of M2M in capillary networks, cellular networks, IoT, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication networks.

11.    Course Syllabus: Introduction and familiarization with (Machine-to-machine) communications. Industrial communication systems: fixed and wireless networks for automatic management. M2M and capillary networks. M2M and cellular networks: application in GSM and LTE networks. Internet-of-Things (IoT) concepts and networks. Application of M2M in vehicle-to-vehicle communication.

12.    Learning methods:  Lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, independent work on project tasks and preparation of seminar work, visiting relevant companies and invited lectures by experts from the ICT sector.
