10. Course Goals (acquired competencies): Basic knowledge of planning, operation and design of power distribution systems | ||||||||
11. Course Syllabus: Determination of peak loads. Configurations of distribution systems. Calculation of voltages and losses in distribution systems. Load flow methods for radial networks. Voltage regulation. Grounding of neutral in distribution networks. Optimum size and location of capacitors. Reduction of losses in the distribution systems. |

Forms of assessment | Written exam Tow mid/end-term exams (120 min each), or final exam (180 min) Student must complete and submit the required homework and project assignments, according to the schedule published at the course web site. Final mark is determined from the weighted average of scores from exams, homework, and project assignments. During the exams it is not allowed to use any literature in printed or electronic form. Calculators are allowed, but not mobile phones, tablets or similar electronic devices. |
