10. | Course Goals (acquired competencies):
Upon completion of the course the student is able to: conduct scientific research in the field that is a subject of the thesis; independently investigate, and critically evaluate scientific literature; formulate a research question and appraise it based on relevant scientific literature; develop and/or apply research methods to answer scientific questions; systematically organize the work in scientific research and formulate realistic solutions to complex problems; draw conclusions based on the research outcome; effectively communicate acquired knowledge, insights and skills to others, both in writing and in oral presentation. |

11. | Course Syllabus:
The master’s thesis is an independent work in a field chosen by the student and prepared under the guidance of a member of academic staff. It contains analysis of a given problem from a theoretical and practical aspect and selection of an appropriate methodology for solving the problem, using the acquired knowledge from several subjects, as well as additional literature. Students will be expected to apply the offered solution, to prepare documentation and instructions for its application and to communicate their work both writing and orally. |
