10. Course Goals (acquired competencies):

Acquiring knowledge in the corresponding field, as a preliminary step towards a master’s thesis. It enables the students for independent research work and developing scientific creativity.
11. Course Syllabus:

Methodology of scientific research and application work. Selection and study of relevant research literature. Definition of the subject, methods and goals of the research. Defining research methods. Collection and processing of data. Setting up an experiment. Setting up a simulation or laboratory environment. Preparation of thesis proposals for applying for master thesis.

Consultations, project assignment, presentations, self-study.
