10. | Course Goals (acquired competencies):
After completing the Advanced Internet Technologies course, the student is expected to be able to perform a deeper technical analysis of Internet technologies. It is expected to be able to create advanced Internet networks, protocols, services and applications. It is expected that he will be ready to engage in scientific research work in the field of Internet technologies. |

Advanced Internet Architectures and Technologies. Internet Protocols, IPv6. DNS-ENUM. Advanced routing techniques, multicast. QoS in the Internet, MPLS and traffic engineering, resource reservation, differentiated services. scheduling, policing, queuing. Measurement and modeling of Internet traffic. Multimedia IP communications, transmission of streaming audio and video over the Internet. Peer-to-peer technology. Internet telephony, SIP, H.323. Mobility in the Internet (Mobile IP, nomadic mobility). Internet services, instant messaging, IPTV. HIP (Host Identity Protocol). |
