A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies and Avesta Battery and Energy Engineering (ABEE) has been signed. ABEE, a Belgian company with a factory in Kichevo, aims to produce electric batteries for cars and is the first of its kind in the region. The factory focuses on developing and producing battery management systems and power electronics, aiming to address energy efficiency challenges and provide innovative solutions in the automotive industry.
The cooperation between FEEIT and ABEE includes the following aspects: joint development and research projects that promote scientific and technological advancements; the creation of master’s and doctoral theses aligned with industrial needs; participation in applied projects to solve practical technical problems; consultative activities that provide expert support; and ongoing education and training in engineering and technical fields.
In addition, the collaboration includes organizing seminars and workshops for knowledge exchange, providing material and professional support, offering scholarships to talented students, and creating opportunities for student internships and direct involvement in real industrial projects. This initiative represents a significant step towards advancing education, scientific research, and technological development in the Republic of North Macedonia.
