Skopje, November 18th, 2019 – A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) integrated to a hexacopter for automatic mine detection was presented today at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies ( FEEIT ), University of ‘Ss. Cyril and Methodius’ – Skopje. The ceremony was attended by following dignitaries: Minister of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia, Radmila Sekerinska, Rector of the University, professor. Nikola Jankulovski, Ph.D., Dean of FEEIT, professor Dimitar Taskovski, Ph.D., Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the Republic of North Macedonia, colonel Zoran Jankovic as well as other representatives from a few state institutions and the business community.
At the official ceremony of the three-year NATO SPS Project ‘A Ground Penetrating Radar ( GPR) Integrated to a Hexacopter for Automatic Mine Detection’ representatives for the following Project participating institutions were also present: Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, Skopje, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor ( Slovenia, as a NATO member state) and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Tuzla ( Bosnia and Hercegovina).
