A Recognition of Scientific Excellence: Prof. Dr. Mirko Todorovski Elected Corresponding Member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts

Our colleague, Prof. Dr. Mirko Todorovski, has been elected as a corresponding member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU) at the Electoral Assembly of MANU, held on November 7, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Mirko Todorovski has achieved outstanding results in the field of electric power systems, with a particular focus on their modeling and the development of appropriate methods for solving a wide range of network operating conditions. His scientific and professional work has been recognized through publications in renowned international journals, active collaboration with relevant power companies and institutions, as well as through leadership of numerous research and applied projects.

He has published 31 papers in the most prestigious scientific journals in the field of electrical engineering with high impact factors, 16 of which are in IEEE journals. For his published works, he has received the Best Scientist Award of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.

He has led or participated in 15 research projects funded by international sources and in 13 studies whose results have direct applications in power industry companies—representing a significant contribution to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration between science and industry.

Three of his PhD students have already become established researchers and professors at domestic universities.

His scientific results and activities contribute to the international recognition of Macedonian science and of the country as a whole.

Prof. Todorovski’s professional career over the past 20 years has been carried out at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT), so his election as a corresponding member of MANU also represents recognition for FEIT as a leading higher education and scientific institution in the country.
