9. Course Prerequisites
10. Course Goals (acquired competencies):

The goal of the course is to familiarize yourself with the basic codes that detect and fix errors. The goal of coding theory is to successfully transmit data over noisy channels and correct errors in corrupted messages. To this end, students through this course will be able to create codes that are optimal according to the application for which they are used to ensure fast and accurate transmission through a noisy channel.

11. Course Syllabus:

Error detection and decoding. Finite fields and their structure. Linear codes. Vector fields of linear codes, bases of linear codes. Coding and decoding of linear codes. Debug and debug codes. Limits in Coding. Lower bound, spherical bounds, Gilbert Warsham bound,…Reconstruction of codes. Hamming codes and Reed-Muller codes.
