10. Course Goals (acquired competencies):

After completion of this subject program, the student will have knowledge of copyright and related rights and will be able to recognize copyright work and objects of related rights, the transfer of the rights, and their protection. The student will learn to conclude a copyright agreement. It will learn how to protect their copyright or related right and what means are available for legal protection. The student will learn to regulate contractual relations with co-authors and will get acquainted with the ways of protecting of author’s works in digital technology. The student will gain knowledge about domestic and international regulations for the protection of copyrights and related rights, as well as the legal framework for regulating relations between authors and the use of artificial intelligence in the creation of copyrighted works. Special emphasis in the program will be given to the protection of computer programs and databases.
