Course Goals (acquired competencies): By successfully completing this course, the candidate will acquire competences for analyzing the control systems for electric drives, types of disturbances and improving the electric drives dynamics.
Course Syllabus: Introduction. Reducing of mechanical values. The influence of variable moment of inertia. Time constants. Static stability. Types of load. Dynamic states and similarity law. More motors drive. Electrical axis. Starters. Dynamic states in DC drives. Forcing of dynamic states in DC drives. Power losses in dynamic states in DC drives and ways to reduce them. Dynamic states in AC drives with induction motors (IM). Heavy drives with IM. Self starting of IM drive. Power losses in IM AC drives and ways to reduce them. Dynamic states in AC drives with synchronies motors (SM). Dynamic stability. Electric drive as object of digital control. Structure of electric drive digital control system. Process of sampling and holding. Interconnection between time constants and sampling time. Compensation of quantization disturbances. Estimation of dynamic states and accuracy analyses in digital electric drives.
