9. Course Prerequisites
10. Course Goals (acquired competencies):

Introduction in environmental legislation at the national and international level. Acquire competences to prepare and evaluate studies related to environmental protection.

11. Course Syllabus:

International and historical context (Principles of environmental protection; International conventions and agreements; Reports from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations).  National framework conditions (Ratified conventions; Legal and by-laws; Maximum permissible limits of emissions of polluting substances and exposure to physical agents; Statistical data on environmental indicators).  Acquisition of professional skills (Environmental Protection Report – methodology, form and content; Ethical obligations and duties in professional practice).  Аssessment of the environmental impact of installations and plants in the field of energy and telecommunications. Evaluation of prepared reports.

Lectures with presentations; interactive lectures; teamwork and independent work; case study; independent preparation and defense of a project assignment in the form of a seminar work, study or scientific paper; interactive discussions
