Introduction to the mechanisms of impact of electromagnetic fields on biological systems and the environment. Ability to implement methods for calculation and simulation of the effects of electromagnetic fields. |

11. | Course Syllabus:
Impact of ionizing and nonionizing EMF on humans and the environment. Thermal and nonthermal effects of nonionizing EMF on living organisms. Mechanisms of interaction of different types of fields with biological tissues and systems. Calculation of induced currents in human organs originating from low frequency EMF. Simulation of the impact of radio frequency EMF, SAR. Analysis of potential health consequences from exposure to LF and RF EMF. Scientific premises for the definition of limit values for exposure to EMF. European and international standards and recommendations regarding EMF exposure of humans and the environment. |
