Course Goals (acquired competencies): Gaining knowledge for development and application of regulation in the field of metrology at national and international level as well as application of metrology procedures in industial applications.
Course Syllabus: Place, role and fields of application of legal metrology. Terminology of legal metrology. International metrology, organization, international systems of units and standards. Insurance of unity of measurements and comparability of the measurement results. regulation in metrological control. regulation on measurement instruments. Measurement standards, calibration and instrumentation verification. Accreditiation of metrological laboratories/bodies for conformity assessment. Place, role and development of industrial metrology. Metrology and quality infrastructure. national metrological system, primary laboratories, secondary laboratories, calibration and test laboratories. Precise measurements of electrical and non-electrical quantities in industrial applications. Dissemination of the measurement units of the physicl quantities. Intelligent industrial metrology. Quality management in measurements and calibrations. Intercomparisons and proficiency testings. Software support for insutrial metrology.
