9. Course Prerequisites
10. Course Goals (acquired competencies):

The students learn methods and measurement instrumentation used to measure electrical quantities in power systems. They would be capable to use modern instrumentation and evaluated the measurement data.

11. Course Syllabus:

Introduction in processing of measurement signals in electrical networks. Mathematical methods used within modern digital networks analyzers. Measurement of power quality and appropriate standards. Methods for measurements power, electrical energy and power factor. Digital instruments and analyzers for power quality, errors, resolution, hardware structure. Microprocessors used in those instruments. Transmission of data to central computer systems, wire and wireless transmission. Examples of measurement systems. Measurements of parameters of the grounding systems. Autonomous devices for measurement of grounding resistance, earth resistivity and grounding resistance of transmission towers.
