10. | Course Goals (acquired competencies):
The candidates gain knowledge on basics of metrology. Acquiring knowledge on measurement procedures, measurement instrumentation characteristics and measurement transducers. Gained knowledge on quality assurance systems, competence and safety. The candidate is capable for creation, implementation and maintenance of different quality management systems. |

Introduction in metrology. Metrology pillars. Basic terms and definitions in metrology. Definition of measurement units. Realization of measurement units reference standards. Development of instrumentation and its application. Traceability chain insurance of the measurement results. Metrology infrastructure. Definition of quality and quality policy. Management. Process approach in the organization and the management system. Basic requirements of ISO 9001. Other international standards for quality management, competence and safety. Total quality management. Case studies of metrology system and quality management systems. |
