Performing research on a topic related to the areas covered by the courses in the Power Systems study program and preparatory work for the master thesis. Acquiring research tools and techniques. Capability for individual research work. |

1. Methodology of scientific research and work on application projects. 2. Definition of the topic, methodology and objectives of the research work. 3. Research, selection and study of relevant literature. 4. Performing research activities. Collection of data. Implementation of methods and tools for processing of the collected data. Selection of a research approach – laboratory experiment or simulation. Presentation of results and discussion. Preparing a report on the performed research project. 5. Setting up thesis and preparation of application for the master thesis. |

The student is required to complete a project report on the performed research. The student will receive comments on the submitted work and after implementation of the necessary changes, the student will prepare a 20 minute presentation and present it to the responsible lecturer. The presentation is followed by a discussion with the lecturer related to the presented material. |
