Loging Electronics donated equipment for biomedical engineering and electronics to the Electronics Laboratory at the Institute for Electronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT). As part of its longterm cooperation, for the needs of students and staff at FEEIT, Loging provided 12 kits for measuring Electromyogram (EMG), Electrocardiogram (EKG), Photoplethysmogram (PPG), as well as Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) . For digitization and processing of these biomedical signals, Loging also provided 12 Arduino Uno platforms.
The donated equipment has already been put into operation for the realization of the laboratory exercises on the subjects Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Electronics which are part of the program Computer Hardware Engineering and Electronics. The equipment will be available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students at FEEIT who want to work on topics related to biomedical engineering.
Part of the equipment was used for the realization of the competition for Practical realization of electronic circuits and development of programmable systems. The competition was held within the Third workshop for development of microprocessor systems from the project “Technology for you”. At the competition, the students from the technical high schools realized a Photoplethysmograph.
