Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring knowledge about methods and techniques for analyzing complex projects from the aspect of their basic parameters. Capacity to analyze project activities in the phase of initialization, planning, execution and closing of the project. The ability to use modern computer tools for business analysis and project monitoring.
Course Syllabus: Introduction, main goals and tasks of the project analysis. Technical, environmental and ethical aspects of the projects. Methodology, mathematical techniques and models of project analysis. Project management software tools. Project planning and control. Analysis of the basic project parameters. Methods for projects schedule evaluation and control (CPM. PERT, PDM). Project costs analysis. Economical and financial aspects of the projects. Time value of the money. Independent and mutually conditioned projects. Methods for projects evaluation and selection. Methods for analyzing the costcost-effectiveness of the project as an investment (Pay Back Period, NPV, BCR, IRR).Project resources planning and scheduling. Uncertainty and sensitivity in project analysis. Business scenario analysis. The work breakdown structure and project estimations. Prediction and trend analysis. Post project review and learning from the past projects. Analysis of the practical study cases.
