Course Goals (acquired competencies): To understand the modern European regulation in the transport of goods, the usage of international documents in the transport of goods, the use of TIR, ATA and E.C.S. carnetsand introducing the European modern transport technologies. To develop the ability to apply and use different conventions and agreements, use of CEMT licenses as well as familiarization with modern standards for identification of goods in transport. Getting acquainted with certain EU directives important for the carriage of goods.
Course Syllabus: Documents of FIATA, FIATA – Combined transport – bill of lading. Using TIR, ATA, E.C.S. carnets, carnet Transport internacional par la route – TIR, carnet ATA – Admision temporaire de merchandise. Modern transport technologies. Information technology as a prerequisite for raising the quality of service during the transport of goods, EDIFACT – EANCOM recommendations, EAN labels, EAN – UCC standards. CMR and TIR convention, ADR and ATP agreement, use of CEMT license, EU directives.
