As part of our long-standing cooperation, a group of students from FEEIT enrolled in the course Electroacoustics visited the Macedonian Radio, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Ljupcho Debarliev and Zhivko Manevski from the MRT technical staff presented the spatial and technical capacities of the radio to the students. The students had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with the engineering challenges and solutions required for the seamless operation of an institution of such stature. The visit included several music and program studios, including M1 – one of the best music recording studios in the Balkans and beyond. Furthermore, the acoustic treatment of the studios and studio audio equipment, such as microphones, mixers, sound effects, amplifiers, speakers, and sound carriers, were discussed in detail. Simultaneously, the historical development and application of these technologies were demonstrated.
