Controlled DC electric drives (DC-DC and AC-DC). Controlled AC electric drives (by varying motor voltage, by varying motor frequency, by varying motor frequency and voltage, scalar control, vector control, PWM control, cascade systems, field control). The impact of controlled electric drives on power supply (losses, harmonics, electromagnetic interference, regulations and standards).
