11. Course Syllabus: Basic principles for the design and construction of electrical machines and transformers. Determination of the basic design dimensions of motors, generators and transformers. Calculation of magnetic and electrical system. Heating scheme and calculation of heating of individual parts. Designing using computer applications. Using optimization methods in the design process. Applying standards when designing. |
