Course Goals (acquired competencies): Students will gain knowledge and skills related to fault diagnosis and protection of electrical machines and transformers, as well as testing of working characteristics and performances of rotation and stationery power devices – electric machinery and transformers. |

11. Course Syllabus: Diagnosis and diagnostic methods in rotating electrical machines – meaning and targets. Prophylactic methods for testing of isolation system in electrical machines and transformers (EMT). Requirement and meaning of testing of EMT. Testing of EMT – general aspects. Methods for testing of electrical and nonelectrical quantities at EMT. Isolation systems in EMT. Direct and indirect EMT testing methods. Working characteristics of generators, motors and transformers. Parallel work of synchronous machines. Testing of parallel work of transformers. |
