  9.    Course Prerequisites

10.    Course Goals (acquired competencies):  Knowledge of IoT network concepts relevant to e-Health. Data Collection Techniques (BAN, Multi-Sensor Solutions, Intelligent Devices, Invasive and Non-Invasive Methods) and Big-Data aspects. Analysis and design of solutions in eHealth. Elements of ICT infrastructures in e-Health and communications in the cloud. Ability to develop new services and applications in eHealth.

11.    Course Syllabus: Introduction. Global e-Health and health information systems. Ethics and Legislation in eHealth. Telemedicine. m-Health (mHealth). Use of ICT solutions for dealing with clinical data. Representation and processing of health data. Aspects of BigData. Types of data. User-oriented design and development of applications and services in e-Health. Business Aspects in e-Health. Generic problems. Future solutions.

12.    Learning methods:  Lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, independent work on project tasks and preparation of seminar work, visiting relevant companies and invited lectures by experts from the ICT sector.

19.    Conditions for acquiring teacher’s signature and for taking final exam Regular attendance at the teaching and auditory exercises and fully developed laboratory exercises.
20.    Forms of assessment Two partial exams during the semester (in the middle and in the end of the semester) with a duration of 120 minutes each or one full exam in a corresponding exam session with a duration of 120 minutes. Usage of books, hand-written materials or any kind of supplementary text book during the exam is not allowed, only a calculator is allowed
