10. Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquire basic knowledge about components (reference, measuring, comparative, executive, amplifier) which are used in systems for automatic control of electric drives. Understanding and using the elements that is apply in electric drives. |

11. Course Syllabus: Introduction. Components of controlled electric drives (reference, measuring, comparative, converter, A/D, D/A, executive). Magnetic amplifiers, semiconductor amplifiers, power semiconductor components, control circuits for converters and choppers, frequency-voltage converters topology, different types of PWM control). Microprocessor control of electric drives (basic configuration, аpplying DSP). |

20. Forms of assessment | The course is passed through two partial exams during the semester or through a final exam. The questions cover the theoretical part and the tasks from the auditory exercises. The exam is passed with a minimum of 51 percent of the total number of points. Also during the semester, students take tests, prepare seminars and continuously monitor their activity. | |||||||
