10. Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introduction to the basics of lighting technique, lighting sources, lighting systems and design of interior and exterior lighting. Design of simple systems for electric lighting (choice of suitable light sources, lamps and photometric calculations)
11. Course Syllabus: Light, color and vision. Basic lighting quantities and concepts. Lighting properties of materials. Lamps. Luminaries. Systems of electrical lighting. Interior lighting. Lighting of streets and roads. Lighting of sports facilities. Lighting measurements.
12. Learning methods: Lectures and auditory exercises with presentations and simulations, teacher-student interaction, homework, and projects.

Tow mid/end-term exams (120 min each), or final exam (180 min)
Student must complete and submit the required homework and project assignments, according to the schedule published at the course web site.
Final mark is determined from the weighted average of scores from exams, homework, and project assignments.
During the exams it is not allowed to use any literature in printed or electronic form. Calculators are allowed, but not mobile phones, tablets or similar electronic devices.
