10. Course Goals (acquired competencies): Upon completion of the course the student is able to: explain the basic concepts in the field that is a subject of the final thesis; identify the need for additional knowledge and the ways in which it can be obtained; to apply the acquired knowledge to solve theoretical, technical and practical issues in the chosen field; independently plan and implement simple projects; to document and present the obtained results.
11. Course Syllabus: The Final thesis is an independent work in a field chosen by the student and prepared under the guidance of a member of academic staff. It contains analysis of a given problem from a theoretical and practical aspect and selection of an appropriate methodology for solving the problem, using the acquired knowledge from several subjects, as well as additional literature. Students will be expected to apply the offered solution, to prepare documentation and instructions for its application and to communicate their work both writing and orally.
