10. Course Goals (acquired competencies): The student acquires theoretical and practical knowledge for working with modern digital switching structures and systems in telecommunication networks, signaling and signaling protocols, synchronization, fast packet switching сѕстемс, packet switching, routing theory and routing protocol in Internet and IP networks. The student acquires the competence to work with modern switching and routing systems. |
11. Course Syllabus: Introduction to switching. Switching systems. Digital switching structures and systems. Signaling in telecommunication networks, and signaling protocols. Synchronization in telecommunication networks. Introduction to Internet/IP routing. Packet switching (Layer 2 / Layer 3). Theory of Internet/IP Routing. Routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, etc.). Multicast protocols. Quality of Services (QoS) in packet switching networks. Future switching and routing techniques. |
12. Learning methods: The method of learning is based on theoretical lectures of students, supplemented with thematic auditory and laboratory exercises. Consultation with students. Making seminar work. |
