The study program involves the major aspects of Regulation in Energy, Electronic Communications and Transport in order to provide for students a knowledge on the need to establish a regulation in the fields related to transport of goods, commodities, people or information through large network systems, i.e. power and natural gas systems, electronic communication systems and transportation networks, as well as on the procedures for creating and implementing this regulation by analyzing and interpreting the global policies in the respective fields.
Furthermore, the study program will create experts enabled to work and contribute within the energy, transport or electronic communication sectors and especially within telecom operators, network system operators, consulting companies, regulatory bodies as well as in state and other public institutions of the respective sectors. Current situation within the named companies, bodies and institutions, especially regarding the needs for development of adequate regulative and its alignment to the relevant EU acquis, points to an increased necessity of experts who are capable of responding to the nowadays’ requirements of the different segments of economy and administration. The experiences from the ongoing restructuring and changes within the public infrastructure sectors show that the high quality experts are crucial for the success of this process.
The study program contains fundamental disciplines in the field of regulation of network activities, supplemented with new knowledge in the field, included in new disciplines and global policies and practices that have been developed in accordance with contemporary knowledge and needs in this area.
