Course Goals (acquired competencies): Acquiring adequate knowledge about the impact of automation of buildings energy consumption, and measures for improving energy efficiency and ensuring a sustainable future. Capable to promote energy efficiency and enhanced functionality of residential commercial buildings. Application of renewable energy sources in the automation of buildings.
Subject of the course content: Introduction in intelligent system for building management. Building automation systems, and subsystem for: Heating cooling and ventilation; lightning control; Access control and surveillance; Fire and gas protection system. Sensors and actuators in Building automation systems. Central processing unit in BAS. Networking of BMS. Renewable energy resources for increasing of the efficiency of the BMS.
