Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introduction to the principles of energy efficiency, world experiences, opportunities for application in electric plants and the importance of preserving the environment.
Subject of the course content: Introduction (Importance and actuality of energy efficiency). The role of energy efficiency in electric drives as the greatest consumers. High efficiency motors. Power factor. Adjustable speed electric drives. Standards for energy efficiency measuring. Programs for realizing energy efficiency (world experience). Examples.
