Course Goals (acquired competencies): Introduction to electromagnetic modeling of transient phenomena.
Subject of the course content: Review of numerical techniques for modelling of electromagnetic phenomena. Frequency and time domain analysis. Development of mathematical models, fundamental relations. Methods for solving differential and integral equations. Finite element method. Finite-difference method. Method of moments. Modelling of transient phenomena. Review of methods for analysis of electromagnetic transients in a system of conductors with concentrated and distributed parameters. High frequency and transient analysis.
