На 14 април (понеделник) 2025 година на Факултетот за електротехника и информациски технологии ќе се одржи предавањето на м-р Даниела Јанева на тема „Решавање на шизофреничниот мозок“, во кое таа ќе зборува за својата работа на докторските студии на Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes (INS), Aix-Marseille University, Франција.
Предавањето ќе се одржи во Салата за состаноци на ФЕИТ во 16:00 h.
Предавањето е во организација на ФЕИТ и македонската секција на ИЕЕЕ преку нејзините оддели: здружениот оддел за процесирање на сигнали и инженерство во медицината и биологијата (SP/EMB), здружениот оддел за електронски компоненти, инструментација и мерења, полупроводнички кола (ED/IM/SSC), како и афинитетната група на доживотни членови на ИЕЕЕ, (LM80077).

Title: Solving the Schizophrenic Brain
Abstract: Schizophrenia is a complex, heterogeneous, and debilitating disorder with a high prevalence of suboptimal responses to antipsychotic medication. Optimizing treatment strategies is crucial for better patient outcomes, and by integrating different modalities, pharmacology, imaging, and clinical, we aim to identify reliable biomarkers to guide personalized treatment. A critical initial step is the precise definition of clinical subtypes through unsupervised learning methods, enabling patient stratification and the identification of significant correlations between corresponding imaging and pharmacological data. We observe two distinct subtypes that are robust to randomness and well differentiated by the independent items of the SUMD scale, clinically validated and theoretically interpretable. This stratification is crucial for understanding the diverse manifestations and treatment response in schizophrenia and is the first step towards tailoring individualized therapeutic strategies.
